NCB renews partnership with Crime Stop
BELINDA Williams (centre), manager for group corporate communications at the National Commercial Bank (NCB), affixes her signature to a new five-year partnership agreement between the bank and Crime Stop.
Bearing witness are Prudence Gentles (left), manager of Crime Stop Jamaica and director of Caribbean/Bermuda & Latin America Crime Stoppers Inc; and Mukisa Wilson Ricketts, acting head, group marketing and communications at NCB.
Launched in 1989, Crime Stop is a programme focused on the fight against crime in Jamaica through forging strategic partnerships between communities, the police and the media.
The programme provides a platform for the public to share information about illicit acts, while ensuring complete anonymity, as well as a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, recovery of stolen property or the seizure of illegal guns and drugs. “For NCB, Crime Stop is a no-brainer, a strategic partnership we are proud to renew for the fifth-consecutive year,” said Wilson Ricketts.
“Our partnership with the National Crime Prevention Fund is one that is paramount to the nation’s development in a bid to overcome a prevalent crime issue that has been a deterrent for Jamaicans and externals alike, and so over the five-year period we have invested approximately $9.5 million.”
