Has Karl Samuda lost it?
AN ancient sage was of the personal view that: “Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.”
That statement is a perfect blend of poetry, prose, one man’s philosophical conclusion or an honest position, drawn from a historical examination of the progress of the demise of kings, princes and politicians.
I am, of course, doing no such thing as ascribing madness to any local politician. Politicians are, by their own self-examination, quite rational people. To the general public, the actions of politicians, even if such actions are thought to have much merit, must first be suspected as having a hidden benefit to the politician.
