English Premier League: Man City drub Spurs 6-0
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Manchester City hammered Tottenham 6-0 in the English Premier League Sunday as Manchester United and Cardiff drew 2-2.
City’s onslaught started 14 seconds after kick off when a poor Hugo Lloris clearance led to Jesus Navas brilliantly chipping in. Navas fittingly ended the rout returning to slot home the sixth goal in the 90th minute.
In between Navas’ efforts, an own goal by Sandro in the 35th minute, two by Alvaro Negredo at 41 and 50, and Negredo 55th minute strike sent Spurs to their biggest league defeat since losing 7-1 to Newcastle in December 1996.
Meanwhile Kim Bo-Kyung came off the bench to score a stoppage-time equaliser as Cardiff held United at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Kim’s late goal came after Wayne Rooney and Patrice Eva scored for United and ex-United striker Fraizer Campbell slotted home for Cardiff.
