UCC stages 2013 open house event
THE University College of the Caribbean (UCC) staged its annual grand open house at its Worthington campus, St Andrew on November 14. It was in the form of “edutainment” that excited the prospective students, families and friends.
Over 100 students from high schools across the Corporate Area flocked UCC’s campus to get information on higher education options (seen at left).
Retired Superintendent of Police Ionie Ramsay-Nelson and motivational speaker Dr Nsombi Jaja shared in the day’s activities and reminded the prospective students that their decision to pursue a particular course of study will influence their career choices and future development. With this in mind prospective students were encouraged to use the open house opportunity to obtain as much information as possible about the programmes that they would like to study.
