Kartel trial: Prosecution’s star witness takes the stand

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Prosecution’s star witness is now on the witness stand giving evidence in the murder trial of entertainer Vybz Kartel, and four co-accused in the killing of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. 

The witness appeared very nervous and shifty and paused when asked to identify Kartel and the other accused. He testified that Shawn ‘Storm’ Campbell had fathered a child for his cousin and that he knew the deceased Williams for about six years in the Portmore St Catherine community of Waterford.

Williams is believed to have been killed on August 16 two years ago at a house in Havendale, St Andrew.
