St James cops on murder charge offered bail
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Two St James cops charged with murdering a man in the Lilliput area of the parish in April this year were offered bail in the sum of half a million dollars each in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court Wednesday.
Victor Mitchell and Andrew Hudson, both constables were ordered by Senior Resident Magistrate Carolin Tie to surrender the travel documents
Tie also imposed reporting conditions and stop orders on the cops and warned them to stay away from the Lilliputt area.
The court was told that there were concerns that the men, if granted bail could interfere with the ongoing investigations.
They are alleged to have gone to a shop in Lilliputt at around 11:00am on April 13 where they shot and killed Barrington McAnuff and were later pointed out in an identification parade.
If they take up their bail, they will return to court on January 15th.
