THE Police Officers’ Club in St Andrew is expected to be transformed into an automotive mecca at Auto Show 2013 this weekend.

The two-day affair, slated for tomorrow and Sunday, is hosted by the Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association (JUCDA) in association with National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Advantage General Insurance Company.

Lynvalle Hamilton, JUCDA president, said the show will be like none the public has ever seen before.

“We want the entire family to come out and see the deals we will have on offer. Top dealers from across the island will display over 300 vehicles at the lowest prices ever,” Hamilton told Auto. “We want it to be seen as a gift to the consumer.”

Hamilton, who has served as JUCDA president for the past four years, said it will be an auto show with a difference.

“Not only is it free, but we will be having on-site auctions… you could bid and drive home the car of your dreams,” he said.

Hamilton said NCB and its affiliate Advantage General Insurance Company will also be in on the action.

“They will be offering special rates for those two days,” he said.

Christopher Vendryes, senior marketing officer at NCB, concurred that his organisation would be giving attractive rates to the public.

“Consider it a pre-Christmas present. We’ll make the offer worth their while,” he said.

However, Vendryes said he could not disclose the rates at this time.

Several of the island’s top used-car dealers will be on display including Auto Channel Ltd, Carland Investment, Crystal Vehicle Sales, Carmax, McKoy Auto, and Bess for Less.
