KINGSTON, Jamaica — Racers Track Club headed by Coach Glen Mills honoured its members in an award ceremony Saturday in Kingston the sprint capital of the world.
The club’s historic trio Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Warren Weir who finished 1-2 -3 in the 200 metre at the London Olympics were obviously the toast of the ceremony.
The Kingston-based club has produced arguably the two best sprinters in Jamaica and World history — Bolt is a two-time World and Olympic 100 and 200 metre champion while Blake a former World 100 metre champion is clocked among the top three fastest runners over 200m.
Meanwhile Weir the youngest of the three is the current Diamond League champion over 200 metres. Mills is the only coach in the world who can claim such success from his charges.
