Akron officially launched in JA
DANI Gonzales, CEO of Beep Beep Tyres, Batteries and Lubes Ltd, said he is putting his 19-year-old company’s reputation behind the Akron range of products which he now distributes.
Gonzales was speaking at the official launch of his distribution deal with Mexicana de Lubricantes, makers of Akron lubricants, oils and greases. The occasion was at the Knutsford Court Hotel in New Kingston last week Thursday.
“Beep Beep Tyres, Batteries and Lubes Ltd has developed a reputation synonymous with quality, service, reasonable pricing and efficiency,” he told the gathering.
“Our new range of lubricants and greases are certified by the American Petroleum Institute and are approved by world-famous brands such as Wärtsilä, Mercedes-Benz, BMW Group, Porsche, Volkswagen and Daimler.”
The Akron range of products are widely distributed throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America.
Gonzales said based on his research, the Jamaican market has been asking for reasonably priced quality lubricants and greases for both the automotive and industrial sectors in a steady supply.
“We are responding accordingly,” he said.
Marco Carvajal, Mexicana de Lubricantes export manager, said Jamaica was the first English-speaking country to carry the Akron line of products, and he was optimistic about its prospects in the local market.
“I think we have a lot of potential. Our products have been certified by the American Petroleum Institute and it is a high-quality product at an affordable price,” Carvajal said.
Beep Beep Tyres, Batteries and Lubes Ltd has a branch in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and another on Hagley Park Road in Kingston. They also distribute Nankang Tyres, Nexen Tyres, Aeosen TBR Tyres, Abro Car Care Products, Primax and Voltex maintenance-free batteries.
“This [Akron] range of products are worthy of the Jamaican market. We commit to consistently deliver excellent service to keep you coming back,” Gonzales said.
