Spur Tree crash leaves three hospitalised
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Three people in a motor truck transporting cement were rushed to the hospital a short while ago after the vehicle overturned along the Spur Tree Hill main road in Manchester.
The driver of the truck appeared to have fared the worse from the crash as blood could be seen coming from his ears and other parts of his head. He seemed to be unconscious.
The Isuzu truck, with the words ‘Lion of Juda’ painted on the front, hit an embankment while heading in the direction of St Elizabeth.
According to people who claimed to be witnesses, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle after smashing into the embankment before crashing onto its side and skating for about 60 feet before coming to a halt in front of a bar.
The front axle of the vehicle broke off during the process, the windscreen blew out and the vehicle spilled it’s contents.
