Canadian national still missing, reward offered for his location
St James Police have intensified their search for Gregory Ashodian, the Canadian national who went missing on December 26, last year.
“We have stepped up our investigation into the matter, but he has still not been located,” Sergeant Peter Salkey told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that Ashodian, of a Vancouver address, arrived on the island at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, on Boxing Day. He has not been seen or heard from since. His mode of dress is unknown.
The 43-year-old is of Caucasian, slim build, is about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) tall, and has tattoos on his right arm, chest and left calf.
A newspaper advertisement offering a reward for his location over the weekend, stated that Ashodian, 43-year-old, was last seen at the Rick’s Café with a French Canadian girl. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Gregory Ashodian is being asked to contact the airport police in St James at 952-2241, Police 119 emergency number, or the nearest Police Station.
A posting by a relative on social media Facebook said that Ashodian was supposed to have returned to Canada on New Year’s Eve and that “his brother called police in Jamaica on January 3, saying he hadn’t returned”.
Calls to a phone number in the ad went to voicemail.
