Brown’s Town go top in KSAFA/Hi-Lyte Super League
BROWN’S Town climbed atop Zone A after they got past Police National 3-0 in their Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Super League match at Vauxhall School on Saturday.
Brown’s Town (six points) are now two points clear ahead of second-placed Rae Town, who secured a 1-0 victory over fourth-placed Barbican.
Maxfield Park (three points) slipped into third place after a 2-1 victory over Santos, who are yet to gain a point and are left rooted at the bottom of the six-team table.
In Zone B, UWI (six points) are now sole leaders after they defeated third-placed Mountain View United (three points) 2-0, to move two points ahead of second-placed Shortwood United, who had to settle for a point, after drawing 1-1 with fifth-placed Real Mona (one point). Allman/Woodford suffered another defeat when they went down 0-2 to fourth-placed Greenwich Town, who were winning their first game.
In the KSAFA/Hi-Lyte Major League, Bull Bay (six points) now set the fractions in Zone A after they secured a 1-0 victory over Whitfield Town (three points), who are sixth in the standing.
In other Zone A games, Rockfort (six points) moved up to second after they pulled off a 1-0 win over Central Kingston (four points), who slipped to fourth place in the standing, while Seaview Gardens secured their first win at home when they got past Olympic Gardens 2-1.
Both teams are locked on three points each and are in seventh and eighth places, respectively.
Fourth- and fifth-placed New Kingston and Swallowfield drew 1-1, which leaves both teams on four points.
In Zone B fixtures, Maverley/Hughenden (nine points) made it three from three when they strolled past bottom-of- the-table Stony Hill (one point) 2-0. Meadforest (seven points) moved up to second with a 3-0 thrashing of fifth-placed Duhaney Park (four points), while Molynes United (five points) slipped to third after they could only manage a 1-1 draw against sixth-placed Cooreville Gardens (one point).
Fourth-placed Pembroke Hall (four points), playing at home, drew 1-1 against seventh-placed Red Hills (one point).
