Parottee pound Round Hill 9-1
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — Parottee United registered the biggest win in round seven of the St Elizabeth Wray and Nephew Major League pounding Round Hill United 9-1.
Marvin Jones scored a hat-trick — netting in the 34th, 80th and 82nd minute, while Dwayne Brown scored twice in the 14th and 72nd minutes. The other goalscorers for Parottee were Elton Ricketts in the fourth, Ramone bent in the 31st, Trevor McCulloch in the 58th and Aldain Lindon in the 68th.
Howard Lindo scored in the 48th minute for Round Hill United.
Black Star FC beat Super Action FC 2-0 with Julian Nugent in the 10th minute and Ricardo Reid in the 89th, scoring.
Goals from Romario Thompson in the 64th minute and Rushane Scarlett in the 70th gave Middle Quarters a 2-1 win over Burnt Ground for whom Kemar Witter scored in the fifth minute.
Newell United tagged Tafari Lions 2-1 with goals from Sandre Sanderson in the 78th minute and Onique Salmon in the 88th. Gerald Hibbert scored for Tafari Lions in the ninth minute.
Holland PYC and Appleton Estate battled to a 0-0 draw in the other game of the round.
