HAGUE, Trelawny – A strong line-up of entertainers are scheduled to perform during the entertainment segments of the Hague Agricultural and Livestock Show to be staged at the Hague Agricultural Show Grounds on March 4 and 5.

On Night Two the line-up features a blend of veteran and young artistes, including the likes of Ernie Smith, Ken Boothe, Macka Diamond, Kalado, Alkaline, Wasp, Jah Bouks, Food Kartel, Francheno and Jonna.

Meanwhile, on Night One, the entertainment package will kick off with a gospel show featuring Kevin Downswell, Ryan Berry, Prodigal Son and Deneese Wright.

The entertainment package over the two-day show, also include culinary displays, a farmers market, a farm queen competition, the crowning of champion farmer and a kiddies village.

President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society Senator Norman Grant who launched the premier Trelawny agricultural show last week, commended the organisers for their work in preparing for the event.

“We have a lot of entertainment that will be available over the two days,” Senator Grant said, adding that security will be maximum at the show grounds during the two-day event.

In the meantime, the JAS president expressed the need for the Hague Agricultural and Livestock Show and similar shows across the island, to be marketed as a tourist attraction.

“One of the things I want to see with this show is where we market Hague to the tourism sector. So, I have sent a list of all the shows that we are planning to the Linkage Committee (of the JAS) and have sent to the hotel members who sit on that committee… please market this show to your guests and let them leave their hotels and come to Hague so that they can have the Jamaican experience, they can have the great Jamaican food, they can have the Jamaican drink and to appreciate the work of the farmers who cultivate the best food in the world,” said Senator Grant.
