Columbus Business Solutions has (CBS) cut its fixed-line call rates for business customers.

Effective March 1, the ICT solutions provider has introduced a new, simpler rate structure, with a single low rate of $2.70 a minute for calls to any local number, including all mobile numbers, and a single rate of $9.72 for all overseas calls to the USA, Canada, Caricom and UK landlines.

“These new rates mean that our business customers will gain great savings on their telephone calls,” said Jenson Sylvester, director, government and strategic accounts. “Plus, it is now simpler and easier for any business to manage their calling costs since they only have to remember two rates.”

Sylvester, who was speaking at the inaugural Jamaica Property Expo at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on March 3, asserted that the new lower rates mean that Columbus is now in an even better position to be able to deliver the best value of ICT solutions for Jamaican businesses.

“Every business relies on telephone communications to reach their customers and in the current economic environment all businesses regardless of size, are seeking to gain efficiencies by reducing the costs of doing business,” he said. “The new lower rates mean a CBS landline is the best option for telephone communications with customers and suppliers.”
