Voyager Drops Anchor in T&T
On the guest list… Trinidad & Tobago’s global fabulocracy. Trinidad was the first stop in the Voyager’s tour of Latin America and the Caribbean, which also included Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico’s Bahia Urbana.

The event… John Walker & Sons Voyager and the whisky brand’s luxury and heritage and the launch of the award-winning John Walker & Sons Odyssey.
The more… John Walker & Sons Voyager is a modern interpretation of the nautical and game- changing heritage of Johnnie Walker, harking back to the trading routes of the ’30s when Johnnie Walker began its global odyssey to the four corners of the world, becoming the number one whisky brand.
What guests did… enjoyed the sprawling deck which was the backdrop for one of the more memorable scenes in the latest James Bond film Skyfall. They also received a masterful brand induction from Global Ambassador Tom Jones as they nibbled on tasty culinary offerings paired with Johnnie Walker’s super deluxe whiskies: Blue Label, Platinum and Gold Label Reserve.
The Wow… The John Walker & Sons Odyssey, which is crafted to meet the more discerning and evolving tastes of those with a passion for modern luxury whisky, retails for about US$1,000 a bottle.
Odyssey consists of triple malts carefully blended and married in European oak cask taking inspiration from the golden era of sea travel and Sir Alexander Walker’s original blending notes.
Johnny Walker & Sons Voyager is a stunning 183-foot luxury vessel. The yacht has two distinctive rooms – the Master of Whiskies Lounge on the upper deck, where guests will have the opportunity to participate in a series of luxury mentoring sessions and immersing themselves in the history of the brand; and the Keep Walking Lounge on the lower deck where guests can gain insight into how Johnnie Walker has travelled from Scotland to the four corners of the world.
The luxury yacht will dock at five more ports of call, notably Venezuela, Aruba, Colombia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, capturing the essence of a true Odyssey, honouring individuals who seek a life without limits and a journey without boundaries — like Sir Alexander Walker himself. The regional activation ends in Miami — alas, Jamaica is not included.
