Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw will remain with Manchester City
In an eleventh-hour announcement, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has indicated she will be staying with Manchester City in a deal set to last another four years.
The news was shared on the club’s website via footage from Co-op Live, with Shaw commenting on reports of a pending transfer.
“I am still here, I’m still hungry, and there’s no place I’d rather be,” the Jamaica international said.
The comments come after reports out of the United Kingdom (UK) had indicated that the prolific forward would leave City at the end of her contract despite a strong desire to remain at the club.
The Jamaican’s existing deal should have expired at the end of the 2025/26 campaign in which City successfully chased down the Women’s Super League (WSL) title.
Shaw was described as key to that success and was the league’s top scorer for a record third successive season.
UK media had reported that both sides were unable to agree on key contract details, including the proposed length of a new deal and with a 1 million pound offer on the table it seemed Chelsea had all but sealed the deal.

However, in her announcement, Shaw said: “After months of waiting, I am happy to announce that I will be staying at the club”. That was met with raucous cheers from the fans, with whom she is a favourite, and her teammates.
