GOSPEL singer Leroy ‘Bunny’ Anderson is currently promoting his latest album The Third Heavens.

Produced on his Bunny Anderson Productions label, the 16-track set was released late last year.

“The songs that I have been inspired to write are pretty special to me and it will be a blessing to those who listen to them. I wanted to make a united call to the church,” he said.

The tracks include Never Be Lonely, Sweeter Than The Songs, Jesus Rewrote My Name and the wedding-inspired Your Love. Anderson, however, lists his favourite as Unite.

“This is the first track on the album. It’s a call for global unity among the church and I think this is important. There is too much struggle among religions and this is confusing the people who are truly seeing God,” he said.

The gospel singer said the album is “deep and profound” compared to his former works and shows his growth as a musician.

Anderson, who is in his late 50s, hails from Clarendon. He emerged on the gospel scene in 1980. Last year, he won the Best Gospel Male Vocalist at the Clarendon Music Awards.

He has since released albums Come By Here and Heart Cry.
