Calabar’s O’Hara out of 100m final
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Calabar’s ace sprinter Michael O’Hara must be cursing his luck as he was disqualified from the Class One 100 metre dash at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships a short while ago.
O’Hara after being tipped to give his school 18 points was disqualified from his semi final after he jumped the gun. The officials went into a lengthy deliberation before finally coming out with the red disqualification card.
Tevin Wilson of Munro College was also disqualified from that semi-final for a false start.
O’Hara had earlier finished third in his 110 metre hurdles semi-final clocking a time of 14.29, which was not good enough to advance as one of the fastest losers.
