Sweet Reggae from Delly Ranx
Veteran deejay Delly Ranx will release Sweet Reggae, his fifth studio album, this summer. The 14-track set is the follow-up to 2012’s The Next Chapter.
“This album is really a continuation of what I started in The Next Chapter. The title track is just a great song, it has a classic reggae feel as if it could have been recorded in the 1970s,” he told this column. “The Next Chapter showed my fans that I had matured spiritually and no longer wanted to be viewed as strictly a dancehall artiste.”
As a teaser, Ranx recently released the EP Chapter 3 Epic Dancehall. It has six tracks including Born Alone, Ganja Smoke, Like a Bicycle, and Nuh Baddah.
Known for the hits Headache (featuring Elephant Man), What a Gal Can Wine and Head of the House, Delly Ranx has been on the dancehall scene since the late 1990s.
