Dear Orchid Doc:
My orchids are always getting sooty mould although they are not under a tree. I do use a fungicide but the mould always comes back.
Is there something you can suggest?

Maybe the problem is that you are not getting rid of the insect that is bringing the sooty mould.
Another reason is that you might be watering late in the afternoon. Try not to water after 4:00 pm, thus giving them time to dry off before bedtime.
