HPC pile up 354 against Bangladesh ‘A’
WEST Indies High Performance Centre posted a competitive 354 all out at the close of the opening day of the second and final four-day ‘Test’ against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the Kensington Oval in Barbados yesterday.
Scores: WI HPC 354 (89.2 overs) Winning the toss and opting to bat first, the High Performance team was led by half centuries from Leon Johnson and Jonathan Carter, who made 74 and 54, respectively.
First-match centurion Jermaine Blackwood contributed 45, while Carlos Brathwaite (42), Sheldon Cotterell (42), Sunil Ambris (34) also contributed useful runs for the hosts, who have a one-nil lead in the series after comfortably winning the opening ‘Test’.
Bowling for Bangladesh A, Shuvagoto Hom took 2-44 and Muktar Ali ended with 2-48.
