Denyque drops summer video
SINGER Denyque will be releasing the video to her latest summer single — How To Rave — at the Mercedes-Benz showroom on Camp Road in St Andrew, this evening.
“It’s a pool party vibes and one that will generate some excitement,” she said of the video.
Produced by E5 Records, the video was directed by Kao Arts and shot on location in Barbican, St Andrew. It features Smirnoff’s fluffed marshmallow-flavoured vodka and Smirnoff’s iced caked-flavoured vodka products.
Jermaine Bibbons, Smirnoff brand manager, explained his company’s involvement in the project.
“Smirnofff supports new and exciting talent and that’s really what the brand is about. Denyque is a new and exciting and we expect to connect this with our consumers,” he said.
The single, How To Rave, was released three weeks ago. It is from the singer’s six-track EP, Her Name is Denyque, scheduled for August. The set includes Loyal Girl and Until You Come.
In addition to London-based Mini from E5 Records, the set also features local producers Stephen McgGregor and Markus Myrie.
Denyque made her entry onto the entertainment scene in 2009 with Summer Love. The track enjoyed good rotation on the airwaves and clubs. She is hoping for a similar response for her new single.
“It’s a different vibe and I think people will love it. I’m sitting back and observing… waiting to see the effect the video will have on viewers,” she said.
