Ecuador beat Honduras 2-1 at World Cup
CURITIBA, June 20, 2014 (AFP) – Ecuador kept their last 16 qualification hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Honduras at the World Cup in Curitiba on Friday.
Enner Valencia scored a brace to give the South Americans victory after Carlo Costly had given the Central Americans the lead.
The result meant France still need a point from their final Group E match against Ecuador on June 25 to be certain of their second round passage.
