COMMONWEALTH GAMES: Jamaica with 5 medals is second in athletics
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Jamaica is currently in second place in the athletics medals standings of the XX Commonwealth Games underway in Glasgow, Scotland.
After two days of competition, although tied on five medals, Jamaica securing two gold,a silver and two bronze, sits behind African nation Kenya. Kenya leads however having secured two gold and three silver.
The top five is completed by Australia, England and South Africa with three, four and two medals respectively.
Jamaica is down to compete in three finals today, the women’s 400m, the men’s 110m hurdles and the women’s triple jump.
