Gunmen shoot four Monday night, two dead
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Four men were shot, two fatally, in separate incidents Monday night in Kingston and St Catherine.
The deceased are 42-year-old Desmond Thomas of a Rockfort, Kingston address and Damion Lewis of Bowers Wood District in Linstead, St Catherine.
Reports from the police are that about 12:00 am Lewis was among other occupants sleeping in a house when men opened gunfire shattering windows, gaining entry to the building. The men reportedly ransacked the house after shooting Lewis and two other male occupants ages 18 and 25.
Lewis was pronounced dead at hospital while the other two men are being treated.
Meanwhile, police reports are that Thomas, also known as ‘Junglist’ was shot and killed by an unknown assailant around 1:30 am, while sitting in the front passenger seat of a motor car. A lone gunman is said to have approached Thomas from behind before shooting him in the head.
