Bailey-Cole beats Powell in World Challenge 100m
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Jamaica’s Kemar Bailey-Cole got the better of compatriot Asafa Powell in the men’s 100 metre at the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Challenge meet in Zagreb, Croatia on Tuesday.
Commonwealth 100m gold medallist Bailey-Cole clocked 10.07 seconds, the same time as former world record holder Powell, in tight finish.
American Mike Rodgers was third in 10.10 seconds.
Another Jamaican Sheldon Mitchell finished eighth.
