Girlz make changes to line-up ahead of Mexico clash
WASHINGTON, DC, United States — The Jamaica senior women’s coach Merron Gordon has made two changes for Tuesday evening’s do-or-die CONCACAF Championship Group B clash against Mexico at the RFK Memorial Stadium here.
Kick-off is set for 6:30.
Attacking wide player Shaneka Gordon and midfielder Jodi-Ann McGregor step into the fray in place of bustling forward Sanoska Young and central midfielder Nicole Campbell-Green.
The Reggae Girlz have three points and need a victory to advance to the semi-final round. Mexico are also on three points, but are ahead of Jamaica based on a superior goal-difference. Mexico need only a draw to progress.
Costa Rica topped the group with nine points after wins over Mexico, Jamaica and Martinique.
United States and Trinidad & Tobago were the teams to move on from Group A.
