Pepperpot – Political silly season is on
REID-JACOBS… to contest seat on behalf of JLP

Pepperpot – Political silly season is on

Brace for non-stop politicking until Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller ‘fly di gate’ for the next general election due in 2016. Nothing is off limits during the silly season. From A J Nicholson and ‘flexi-rape’ to NHT and Outameni and everything in-between, the controversies will rage. Hopefully, chikungunya and Ebola will not be swept aside.

Just another

pretty face?

The JLP is showing that it really believes in the power of women. Ignoring the walloping taken by Marlene Malahoo-Forte against Roger Clarke the last time round, the party is now sending in another woman, Faye Reid-Jacobs, to face the might of the PNP juggernaut in Central Westmoreland. One thing is sure, we sisters are not afraid of a dog fight.

Mastermind fleeing

The mastermind of the scheme is said to be packing up and selling off to leave the Rock, where life for him and his family is no longer sweet. If only he could have foreseen that this would be the result of his selfish actions.

Speaking of women politicians…

Have the prominent women politicians on the JLP ticket last general election given up on representational politics? Dr Longmore, Paula Kerr-Jarrett and Patrice Charles seem to have thrown in the towel. Juliet Cuthbert must be praying hard that she does not suffer the same fate.

Returning resident

or deportee?

The hot-shot who once ruled the roost before he migrated to America is back on the Rock. But speculation is rife that he may have been deported after his name was associated with the dancehall artiste.

Is the JLP going to position the Central Westmoreland by-election as a referendum on the Government?
