Make some money on the side
LIVING hand to mouth is no joke, and more and more people are taking up second jobs or jobs on the side just to be able to survive. Many employers don’t mind you moonlightling once there’s no conflict, and if you have the time, and it won’t impact on your regular nine-to-five, there are ways to make a few extra bucks.
Everald Wright, Independent World Ventures representative and network marketer, said with the current economic crisis the country faces, having more than one source of income is probably the only way not to feel the heat of the expenses.
“One way I make money on the side is by investing in a network marketing business, as this gives me the opportunity to own my own business and have no overhead costs,” he said.
Wright said the key to doing work on the side is to find small jobs that require little work and will pay you well.
Here are some tips for making honest money on the side.
Freelance
“I make money in spare time by joining ‘Freelance’ websites where you do small tasks for people around the world online and you get paid for it,” Wright said.
Be an independent salesman
“Another strategy I employ is to approach persons who have the ‘For Sale’ signs on their cars and ask them to let me sell it for them. If I am successful then I charge a fixed price after it is sold.
Recruitment
“I am a party fanatic so why not get paid to have fun? I decided to become an ambassador for a nightclub and I make money as an ambassador by bringing patrons to their events. Popularity plays a vital role as an ambassador, as people will always be coming to you to for information regarding parties, instead of you going to them. It’s basically free money.”
Trading
“I invest in the Forex market. I have a friend who is a trading genius and so I give him the money to trade for me. Be warned that trading is very risky, especially if you do not know what you’re doing. If you find someone who is skilled at it then the rewards can be exciting.”
Real estate
“I became a real estate agent mainly because you can do it anytime. As an agent you do not have to go into the office on a daily basis, so I do real estate on the side. You can earn good money being an agent by selling, renting or leasing other people’s properties and it’s not hard.”
