FIFTEEN thousand motor vehicle enthusiasts are expected to make the pilgrimage to the National Arena in St Andrew for the three-day Automobile Dealers Association (ADA) Motor Show which begins today at 5:00 p.m.

“The expectations are that this event will be a successful one. There will be a lot of 2015 models on display as well as motor cycles and trucks,” Kent LaCroix, chairman of the new-car umbrella group — ADA, told Auto.

According to the chairman, all the association’s 16 new-car dealers will be on show with 22 brands.

“All the dealers are upbeat and looking forward to generating some sales,” said LaCroix.

Hugh Okoye, ATL Automotive group general sales manager, said patrons can expect an exciting display of vehicles from his company.

“We will be having our end-of-year event — Good Things Comes in 3s … 100% financing, no payment until February 2015 and 9.95% interest rate,” he said.

“We’ll also have three year of service inclusion for all Audi and Jaguar/Land Rover products. We’ll have the best prices of the season for all our models and no reasonable offer will be refused,” he said.

Howard Foster, marketing manager for Toyota Jamaica, said patrons should expect “big and exciting things” from his company.

“We’ll have our 2015 models on display as well as nicely accessories vehicles, never before seen in Jamaica. We also have our Christmas campaign — Christmas 3, which our customers can win prizes including a 55-inch curve TV, weekend for two and a Samsung tablet,” said Foster.

ADA chairman said Stewart Industrial would be unveiling a new brand to the Jamaican market.

“They will be unveiling the Futon line of trucks. These vehicles come with a reliable Cummins engine,” he said.

Earl Jarrett, general manager of Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS), is expected to officially declare the event open.

“The JAA (Jamaica Automobile Association) is part of his [Jarrett’s] company and they’re actively involved in road safety. We asked him and he kindly consented,” said LaCroix.

The show will start on 11:00 am and end 10:00 pm on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30. Admission is 700 for adults and 200 for children.

The last show ADA Motor Show was March 2014.
