Cariah to miss Red Force’s third-round PCL match
PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) — Trinidad and Tobago Red Force will be without promising batsman Yannic Cariah for their third-round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League (PCL) starting at Queen’s Park Oval today.
Cariah could not recover from a fractured toe in time to take his place in the squad for the match against the Jamaica Franchise, skipper Rayad Emrit has revealed.
He was struck during Red Force second round win against the Leewards at Warner Park, St Kitts over the weekend.
Chairman of the national selection panel Alec Burns has hinted that the left hander could be replaced by Steven Katwaroo.
Red Force is now second in the standings on 20 points, 14 behind leaders Guyana Jaguars after coming from behind to secure a six-wicket victory over the Leewards.
