Priest dies in Manchester road accident

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Fifty one year-old Roman Catholic Priest Joseph Wawera died Thursday night following a motor vehicle accident on the Melrose bypass in Manchester.

Police say Wawera who lived in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth was travelling from Porus towards Mandeville about 8:00 pm Thursday when his car collided with a Knutsford Express passenger bus travelling in the opposite direction.

There were no reports of anyone else being injured in the collision.
