Prince ‘Daggerman’ Holder says he’s on the rebound
Apprentice Prince ‘Daggerman’ Holder, who warmed the hearts of racing fans with his strong riding style and his never-say-die attitude when in the saddle, says he will soon return to winning ways.
Holder, one of the batch of apprentice riders who made their debut in September of 2012, did well as he churned out the winners and capped a super 2013 when he was voted as the most improving rider for the season.
Then came 2014 and a dramatic drop in form, with Holder riding just two winners from well over 100 mounts. Many times, the diminutive rider and crowd favourite has been missing in action on the exercise track, but he now claims the past is behind him and he is ready to roll again in the winners’ enclosure.
“I dropped form in a split of a second as I was going through a difficult time. I have been working hard for some while now and eager to get in the winners’ enclosure on a regular basis. I am determined in doing the hard work now as I am committed to the sport,” Holder told the Complete Racing Guide.
