MONTEGO BAY, St James – THE St James Football Association’s 2014- 2015 competitions have been pushed back to late January, due to the staging of the CONCACAF Under-20 finals in Montego Bay early next year.

President of the Football Association Gregory Daley told the Jamaica Observer West earlier this week that with the staging of the CONCACAF Under-20 finals in the resort city from January 9-24, a decision was taken to push back the start of the competition until after the tournament.

As a result, the Sandals/ATL Senior League will not start until late January, next year.

Daley said normally they would have started the competition in late November, “but with the break for Christmas an d the New Year then the CONCACAF tournament, we did not want to start then have to stop.”

The late start would see the competition running into June, Daley added. In addition to the Senior League, the FA also organises the Division One and the Division Two competitions.
