Gas prices up 78 cents, diesel down $1.38
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in price of gas and a decrease in diesel effective Thursday, January 22 with an increase in ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold by Petrojam for $89.68 and $91.34 per litre respectively, up 78 cents each.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $89.46 per litre following a decrease of $1.38, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is up by 26 cents, and will be sold for $99.64 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene oil increased in price by 52 cents and will be sold for $96.86 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $36.99 per litre, up $2.01 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $43.08 per litre after a increase of $2.83.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark up to these prices.
