FOOTBALL’S arch rivals Waterhouse FC and Boys’ Town FC lock horns for the third time this season when they clash in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Jackie Bell Knockout semi-final double-header at the Drewsland Mini Stadium today starting at 6:00 pm.

Meanwhile, defending champions Harbour View and Barbican FC are due to trade shots in the other semi-final at 4:00 pm.

In the feature, coaches Anthony Patrick of Waterhouse and Andrew Price of Boys’ Town have declared that their teams are ready to push forward for a place in the final.

“The game tomorrow (today) is very important and we are looking at it in that fashion,” said Boys’ Town coach Price at the team’s final training session at Collie Smith Drive yesterday.

“We have a strong rivalry with Waterhouse and this season both game ended 0-0 where the defensive aspect of our game stood out, but were left wanting in our finishing. Be that as it may, at present, I think our forwards are in a much better position than they were two months ago. So we will be able to see if we can put some sustained pressure on the Waterhouse goal,” said Price.

“So once we play both sides of the field, we will be alright. And, based on our preparation, I believe that we will put in a good shift tomorrow (today),” Price anticipated.

Price pointed out that the club is engaged in a process of exposing a number of young players brought into the programme. Among them are captain of Camperdown Kevin Shaw, Chavoney Ellis from Jamaica College, Shamar Nicholson, who is a national Under-20 player and Akeem Bradford.

Meanwhile, Waterhouse coach Patrick said he was pleased with preparation going into the match.

“I must say that the last three days of preparation were a pleasant sight for me, but it is all about what the team does on the day,” he said.
