J’CANS DRIVING GERMAN!
ATL Automotive has kicked off the New Year with a bang, posting sizzling sales figures, according to the latest report from the Automotive Dealers’ Association.
Despite a relatively challenging 2014 for the automotive industry, the ADA report has underlined Jamaica’s love of ATL Automotive’s German-made automobiles with a bumper month for sales in January as well as showing signs of a bright future for the sector.
ATL Automotive group general manager Matthew Cripps commented: “This latest report tells us two things; firstly that Jamaicans have a real appreciation for world-class car brands and, secondly, that there is growing consumer confidence in the local economy. People are buying new cars and it’s extremely encouraging.”
Boasting World Cars of the Year in the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Polo, the Midsize Pick Up of the Year in the VW Amarok and the hugely popular Audi Q5, ATL Automotive surged past its competitors over the Christmas period to win the ‘Battle of the Germans’.
“These sales figures from Audi and VW represent a 55 per cent increase over their two German competitors in Jamaica proving it really is a case of “Goodnight Old Luxury,” Cripps added.
“Audi and Volkswagen are undoubtedly the hottest car brands in the world at the moment and their global sales results and the endless flow of accollades prove it. They’re technologically advanced, reliable, fuel-efficient and sexy.”
