Pepper Pot: A promise is not a comfort…

Pepper Pot: A promise is not a comfort…

My girls got excited — we just can’t help it, can we — about the promise of fireworks to come in the Turks. Excitement is now turning to disappointment. As one of them said, “A promise is a comfort to a fool”. Not to be outdone, my BFF chimed in “But is a fool who makes empty promises.” Nuff said!

Go Chris, Go Marlon!

Thank goodness for Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels, we still have something to be excited about. The run fest against Zimbabwe more than made up for the no-show in the Turks.

The hand that rocked the cradle

Now that the favoured son has ascended the throne, mommy has taken over and is running things from behind the scenes. She is taking no chance at failure. She was overhead saying that a 26-year-old CEO can be expected to fall off the horse many times.

Pauperised prince

Prince Andrew never ceases to amaze. Having apologised before God and man, he has now made an ugly u-turn. Poor man. At that rate, he’ll never make the girls’ list of favourite politicians.

Question of the week

Should the CHIKV issue be put back on the front-burner?
