With both experts on hand to display their interpretations of bridal coiffure, there’s no telling what dreams will become reality for the make-believe brides. Runway Tresses
Some of the runway’s most sought-after designers took to the Milan catwalks for their Fall/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear presentations. Hair was the buzzword as fashionistas paid much attention to detail by showcasing their interpretations of this season’s hair trends. Your Under The Dryer style team shares the runway prowess.
Bottega Veneta
Designer Tomas Maier upped the glam factor for his models at his label’s 2015 Fall/Winter Ready-To-Wear fashion show in Milan last Saturday. Maier shares his clear-cut hair interpretation on the ginger-blonde Edie Campbell and it’s clear that the centre-parted wave trend is here to stay, if only for another season.
Gucci
Gucci’s new designer Alessandro Michele makes his purpose known with a fab runway show and equally fab hair. This year’s fall/winter season is all about bohemian waves and we have Michele to thank.
Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce stood true to their romantic chignon jewel-accessorised look for their Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear runway. Rock model Tami Williams graced the catwalk for the label’s ‘Ode to mamma’ presentations.
Prada
It could be said that Prada took style notes from Dolce & Gabbana by adding oversized statement pin accessories, but what is certain is that the designers made the look their own by moulding a complementing ponytail updo. Not only did the label’s head designer Miuccia Prada opt for ponytails, but she also found ways to flare even a low-cut Afro ‘do. This off-kilter take on the traditional high ponytail left the audience wanting more. We’ll just have to wait for the Spring/Summer 2016 presentations.
Jonathan Saunders
Trending on the Jonathan Saunders catwalks were 70s-inspired tunics, bright colours, leather accessories, cowling turtlenecks and three-dimensional ponytail looks. So it was a tad surprising that Saunders traded the expected chic ‘do and went full-throttle with edgy, half-shaved-half-up-in-a-ponytail hairdos.
