Tivoli Enquiry delays Keith Clarke murder trial
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The trial of the three Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldiers charged with the shooting death of accountant Keith Clarke has been postponed until October 12.
The prosecution agreed with the defence that it wouldn’t be feasible for the trial to proceed while the Tivoli Commission of Enquiry is ongoing, when they apeared in the Home Circuit Court today
The trial is set to run for eight weeks. Lance corporals Greg Tinglin and Odel Buckley and private Arnold Henry are to be tried for the May 2010 killing of Clarke at his Kirkland Heights, St Andrew, home during the hunt for then Tivoli Gardens don Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.
The Tivoli Gardens enquiry is to resume in early April.
