Star$truck Records, a joint venture between producers Matthew ‘Esco Da Shocker’ Thompson and Delmar Drummond, has released another strong production in the 50/50 ‘riddim’.

The 50/50 is driven by songs such as What a Day by Exco Levi, Simple Way of Life (Edge Michael), Want More (Bling Dawg), Tek it In (Chaka Demus and Pliers) and 50/50 Love by Ibr Mahr.

Star$truck Records gained some attention late last year with Legendary, a collaboration between dancehall veterans Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.

“We’ve been around two years now and we are bringing a professional and experienced team of musical practitioners who are equipped in production, management, booking, artiste development and events planning,” said Drummond.

The label’s first project was the Star$truck beat, which featured songs Esco Da Shocker, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Busy Signal, Darrio, Iyara and I’Candy feat Bling Dawg.

Follow-up productions include the Spitfire and Glory riddims, as well as the hit song Kreech by Bling Dawg and Kreecher.

Commenting on the label’s progress, Drummond said: “I’d say all the releases thus far have been successful in some way or the other.”

Star$truck Records has albums by Esco Da Shocker, Shanhill and Louie Culture on the cards.
