Real Mona, UWI suffer home defeats in Super League
LEADERS Real Mona on 25 points and second-placed UWI on 24 lost at home to Maxfield Park and cellar dwellers August Town, respectively, to close the gap at the top of the JN/KSAFA Super League in last Saturday’s round of matches.
Maxfield Park, who started the round on 20 points in third but needing to win to remain competitive at the top of the standings, surprised a reduced in strength Real Mona 1-0 with a second-half goal in minute 58 from Chavar Valentine. This was after Richard Edwards missed several good scoring chances in a
one-on-one situations in the first half to put Maxfield ahead.
