Lucea West CDC T20 winners
Omar Romans, captain of the Eglin Town cricket team (centre), poses with the winning trophy after his team defeated the St James-based Cambridge team in the finals of the Lucea West CDC T20 Community Cricket competition played at the Rusea’s High School Campus 2 field recently. Also photographed with trophies are: Collin Forbes of Cambridge (left), who scored the most runs in the game, and Garey Campbell of Eglin Town team, the leading wicket taker. Eglin Town was also presented with the winner’s cheque of $30,000,
while Cambridge got $15,000 for being the beaten finalists. Other teams participating in the competition organised by the Lucea West CDC were: Hopewell, Montpelier, Rusea’s High, Lucea West and Overtone.
