Jamalco seek third straight win in SVL Major League Netball
LAST year’s beaten finalist Jamalco will be looking for their third straight win when they meet Molynes United ‘A’ as the 2015 Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL)/Netball Jamaica Major League competition continues today at the Leila Robinson Courts.
The Winston Nevers-coached Clarendon-based girls are favoured against the Roy Pryce-coached Molynes ‘A’ who have won their only game played so far when they upset Open League champions Mico ‘B’ 32-29 last Thursday. This game begins at 6:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Waulgrovians ‘A’, coached by Marvette Anderson, should have a tough encounter with the Sylvester Campbell-coached Tivoli ‘A’. Both have won their only game thus far and will be hunting their second in what promises to be a keenly contested encounter, also slated for 6:30 pm.
The Janet Guy-coached Mico ‘A’ should chalk up their second win from as many outings against Friendship.
Mico ‘B’ will want to redeem themselves from the shock defeat at the hands of Molynes ‘A’ when they meet Cablepro at 5:00 pm.
Waulgrovians ‘B’ vs Alpha ‘B’ should be a close affair, Blades United ‘A’ should beat Police ‘A’, while the Jetsetters ‘A’ vs Liguanea United ‘A’ encounter should be closely contested.
Action also continues in the Minor League with Alexander Strikers ‘B’ vs Queen’s Park; Wolmer’s vs EXED Saints; New Kingston Raiders vs Jetsetters ‘C’; Rollintgon ‘B’ vs Liguanea United ‘B’ at 1:00 pm.
