Jamaica Standard Products tops business awards in Manchester
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Jamaica Standard Products was named Business of the Year at the recent awards banquet of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The coffee company came out ahead of the two other nominees — Power Services Company Limited and B Mull Auto.
Other winners for the night were Proven Financial Services in the category of banking & finance; engineering company EPAMS for community impact; Golf View Hotel for hospitality and customer service; Blue Ember Concepts for entrepreneurship; Johnson’s Pharmacy for family business; Pioneer Chocolate for production and development; Isratech for technology/green energy; and Northern Caribbean University for education.
Mandeville Mayor Brenda Ramsay lauded the businesses for their achievements, which she described as a source of pride nationally and internationally.
“It affords the opportunity for others to recognise Manchester as that place of choice to live, work, do business and raise families,” she said.
The evening was complemented by entertainment from the 50/50 band.
