JC maintain lead on day 3 of Champs
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica College continue to lead the GraceKennedy ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships with 29 points after four finals, but their lead has been reduced by Calabar High, to just three points.
Edwin Allen High are third on 16 points ahead of Kingston College on 14 points.
Demar Gayle of Edwin Allen High won the Class One discus final with a throw of 50.70m ahead of Warren Barrett of Calabar High with 49.95m. Petersfield High’s Sanjae Lawrence was third with 49.65m ahead of KC’s Rajindra Campbell with 49.48m.
Calabar picked up a total of 10 points as Ronald Hasting finished sixth with 48.40m, while Kingston College’s other thrower, Mickel Hudson, picked up an additional two points for seventh with 48.01m.
