HIGH Commissioner of Canada, His Excellency Robert Ready yesterday hosted the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue (CCELD) Sponsorship Breakfast to introduce the plans for the establishment of the dialogue in Jamaica.

The CCELD, which is built on the proven model of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, brings together high-calibre mid-career individuals selected from business, government, labour and civil society from across the Caribbean and Canada for a leadership exchange.

A study tour across the Caribbean will begin September 6, 2015 and ends in Jamaica from September 20, 2015 to October 4, 2015.

The initiative is geared at providing participants with intensive learning and networking opportunities under the theme “Leading Through Innovation and Transformation” and allows participants to develop peer-to-peer critical leadership competencies, including abilities to collaborate, integrate and think critically.

The dialogue guarantees a profound personal experience expanding the participant’s knowledge of fundamental global and local issues and gives insight into the thinking of top leaders.

The conference is organised under the patronage of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne and alumni volunteers supported by a professional conference organisation and will be funded by private and public sponsorships.
