Dealer strikes Balance
REGGAE singjay Dealer (aka Ra Deal) is encouraged by the warm reception to his latest single Balance.
Released in February, the track is on the Big Dreams Productions imprint. Balance is the first single from his upcoming album Born to Be Free scheduled for a summer release.
The singjay said the inspiration for Balance came from his own observations and experience.
“You have to know how to play the cards you have been dealt in life, you have to know how to balance in this trod we making in life. Happiness is dependent on balance, rhythm and harmony. We have to create peace and balance in our minds, only so we will find it in our lives,” he said.
He said Balance has made the playlist of several radio stations both locally and abroad.
“The people dem still love Dealer, so mi nah give up. One-drop reggae is getting more emphasis now,” said Dealer.
“Right now, Balance have the whole world a balance. People love it and a ketch on pon it inna real life,” he continued.
Dealer (given name Omar Morrison) hails from Industry Village in St Andrew. He first came to prominence three years ago with the a capella song 4 am The single speaks of police brutality because of marijuana possession.
His other tracks include Take Myself Away and Finally.
“Right now, ah just bigger and better things for 2015,” he added.
