Another lawyer facing fraud charges
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Members of the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch arrested and charged an attorney-at-law with four counts of fraudulent conversion on Tuesday.
In custody is 47-year-old Jade Hollis of a Caribbean Close, Kingston 10, address.
She was taken into custody at the Norman Manley International Airport upon her return to the island about 12:30 pm, following a decision from the Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn.
Hollis was retained as a carriage of sales of a real estate company and allegedly fraudulently collected over J$12 million, a release from the Corporate Communications Unit said.
She is to appear before the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Her bail has been set at J$3 million with surety.
